Like Ripping Off a Band-Aid

If you even made it all the way through the title, you probably winced a little while reading it. I am convinced that as long adhesive bandages have existed there has been a child anticipating the absolute torture of pulling it off! I have, on more than one occasion, had to pin a child down to do “the quick pull.” Which is always immediately followed by “well that wasn’t so bad.”

Oddly enough I have found myself feeling the same way about decluttering.

The thought of pulling things out and sorting through them seems daunting and tedious and I’d rather just put it off another day. We’ve survived this long with all this stuff what will one more day…week…month…year…matter? the truth is it matters a whole lot! Excessive clutter has mental, physical, and spiritual effects on us and even a few more days can matter not only in the short-term, but in the long-term as well.

How can we get it over with faster?

Giving ourselves a good pep talk and pushing to declutter as much as we can in a short about a time as we can may be a good place to start if you are dreading the task of Decluttering. In this recent video we’ll chat about how you can kick start your decluttering, maybe partner with a friend, and most importantly how to keep it all in perceptive.

I’ve been tracking the number of items I have decluttered and I want to share this resource with you too. Below are some Tools to Help You declutter faster!
